The Flooded Area on the Banks of Code River, The Art Painting

This art painting is documenting a riverbank. Code River is a river whose headwaters at the foot of Mount Merapi, a volcano that became one of the most active in the world. Code River was recorded as having some big flood as a direct consequence of the Mount Merapi eruption. In rainy season, cold lava materials derived from Mount Merapi eruption drifted into River Code's stream, the long trip of waded upstream to downstream. On one side, this is a catastrophic event. But on the other hand, give a blessing in the form of stone and sand as the economic value of high-quality building materials.

Code River is very worthy to serve as an object of art painting. Code riverside contains a variety of social construction which implies on a complicated landscape. Riverbank is actually not recommended and even banned for dwellings. But as a product of the unique and complex socio-economic situation, Code riverbanks are now crowded with houses.

Of course, I had good reason to make the Code riverbanks as an art painting. More than the photographic beauty, Code river presents the unique and attractive landscape to move into canvas. This meant I have great freedom to paint with my own style (see further on: My Views on Fine Arts). Various issues both social-economic and environmental are not present in my painting, as I was presenting the beauty of the Code river landscape... It's more as an expression and hope!
